Palatines to America - German Genealogy Society
Palatines to America is organized into chapters for the benefit of its members. Through a chapter one can have access to local workshops, and to research within that area. These give Pal Am members additional resources for their research. Chapters encourage personal participation and make possible fellowship, which can enhance genealogy research. Most chapters publish a newsletter, print publications and hold conferences, workshops and seminars.
Currently, Palatines to America has 7 chapters:
Colorado Chapter
Illinois Chapter
Indiana Chapter
New York Chapter
Ohio Chapter
Pennsylvania Chapter
West Virginia Chapter
Go the each chapter’s page by clicking the chapter name above to learn more about their activities, contacts, local information and planned events.
Membership in the National Society of Palatines to America does include membership in one chapter, but chapter membership is optional. If you do not wish to join a chapter just circle "none" on the Membership Application. But should you want to obtain chapter membership you may select any chapter which you feel best meets your needs. Many people select a chapter based on the area in which their ancestors lived after they came to the United States; others select a chapter based on their residence and that proximity to a chapter. Membership in more than one chapter incurs an additional fee. More information on membership here.
