IGGP RESEARCH TRIP TO ALLEN COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY
MAY 18-22 2024

Palatines to America is a Partner in the International German Genealogy Partnership (IGGP) which is sponsoring a research trip to Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Those you who traveled to Fort Wayne for the IGGP 2023 conference probably spent time at the Allen County Public Library in its renowned genealogy collection.

If you wish you had had more time to work in the library, you can join the IGGP research trip May 18-22, 2024 for a return to Fort Wayne and dig deeper into what the library and its staff have to offer.

The ACPL Genealogy Center welcomes you to explore their unique and state-of-the-art resource for family history research. They have the largest publicly-available research collection in the country and make available, at no cost, records from around the world to aid in your discovery.

Schedule your own research time; you can contact the library staff ahead of your visit to get ready. The IGGP has arranged for a discount on rooms at the Hampton and Courtyard hotels, and you can book online. If you wish to arrive earlier or stay later, contact the hotel directly to extend your stay.

Staying as a group means you'll meet others with similar interests. And you know yourself that putting two family researchers in the same library means it won't be too long before you're sharing a meal and exchanging war stories!

Details along with links for hotel booking are posted on the IGGP website.
